Stuck with a heat pump nobody will touch? Let’s get you unstuck.
Maybe you’re halfway through your own install. Maybe it came with the house. Maybe it quit and your installer stopped answering. Wherever you’re stuck, we’ll measure what’s there, tell you plainly what we find, and help you get to reliable service.
Why we do this: We know what it’s like to be left with someone else’s install.

We’ll adopt your orphaned heat pump
Sound Familiar?
The unit is mounted, the lines are run, the wiring is done. Then you hit the refrigerant step, which takes a certified technician, and nobody wants it.
Many owners tell us they’d have chosen different equipment if they’d known someone would start it up.
No heat, no cooling, ice on the coil, water on the wall. The company that put it in is out of business or won’t call back.
The answer is often the same everywhere: not our install.
You built it yourself, or bought a house with it. It seems fine, but you don’t know whether it’ll hold up in a real cold snap.
What you want is someone to measure it and tell you where it stands.
We Know What it’s Like to be Left with Someone Else’s Install
Being turned away is frustrating, and it isn’t fair. Someone else’s work shouldn’t leave you without help.

Heat pump PATH program
Program for Adoption, testing, and help
Our cofounder started Just Heat Pumps after living with a heat pump the professionals got wrong. He spent months diagnosing and fixing it himself, and decided homeowners deserved better. Heat Pump PATH exists for the people who call us in that same spot.
We don’t judge how you got here. We measure, we explain, and we tell you what we can and can’t do before you spend money.
You did the reasonable thing, and you’re still stuck. Why we can help:

Some of Our Heat Pump Work
Tell us what you have and what’s happening. Text us photos of the nameplates. From the model numbers, we can tell you whether we can source parts before we ever visit. We book your visit with a deposit that’s credited to the work.
Depending on where you’re stuck, we finish and start up your install, test a running system at full output, or find the cause of a failure. Either way, you get a written report with the measurements and photos.
If your system passes, it earns a tier. If your equipment and results qualify, we’ll offer a care plan with one visit each fall, before peak heating load.
Find Your Starting Point:

• Written result, useful if you ever sell.
For systems that failed or never worked well.

Ready When You Are. Tell Us Where You’re Stuck.
A short screening call is the first step. You’ll know what we can and can’t do before anyone comes out.
Have these ready for the call:
- Photos of the nameplate on the outdoor unit and each indoor unit.
- Who installed it, and roughly when.
- Where the equipment was bought, and whether the warranty was registered.
- Who made the connections and who opened the valves, if you know.
- Any vacuum readings, photos, or error codes you have.
