About Just Heat Pumps
Just Heat Pumps is a locally owned, emissions-driven heat pump installation company.
We install heat pumps across the Denver Front Range and we guide homeowners through every available rebate and incentive program including HEAR, Xcel Energy, RENU financing, and IRA tax credits.
We already have a podcast (Just Heat Pumps Podcast, live on Apple and Spotify), a growing YouTube channel, a blog, and an email subscriber list. The content is being created. We need someone to help us do more with it.
The Role
This is a creative, part-time marketing role with a lot of flexibility and a lot of ownership. You’ll be responsible for keeping our content engine running, growing our online presence, and helping us turn attention into inbound leads — mostly without paid advertising (for now).
You’ll be the person who takes a raw podcast recording and turns it into a week’s worth of content. You’ll manage our Google Business Profile, keep our social channels active and engaging, edit video for YouTube, and help us show up consistently across platforms. You’ll use AI tools daily to work faster and smarter. And you’ll help us sound like ourselves — not like every other HVAC company.
This is a creative, flexible, fun role with a lot of room to make it your own. You don’t need ot know how to do everything out of the gate, but you must show the ability and enthusiasm to learn it. You’ll work directly with co-founders Erin Shine and Dr. Xerxes Steirer, PhD, and be part of a small, tight-knit and hyper-focused team that are experts in their craft.
Content Creation & Social Media
- Short-form and long-form video creation and editing — Youtube video editing, Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts (this is table stakes), LinkedIn Posts, and more.
- Podcast editing and production: episode cleanup, intros/outros, show notes, distribution to Spotify and Apple Podcasts
- Graphic design for social posts, thumbnails, and promotional materials (Canva and others)
- Copywriting that’s conversational, educational, and non-salesy — able to match and protect a brand voice for blog posts and website content
- Ability to repurpose one piece of content across multiple platforms (blog → Reel → email → podcast clip).
AI & Digital Tools
- Comfortable using AI tools daily (Claude, Gemini AI, Descript, Opus Clip, Repurpose.IO and similar) to help and augment your skills and work.
- AI image and video tools (Runway, Adobe Firefly, or similar) a strong plus
- Familiarity with SEO basics and content optimization for search – which means helping humans and not the bots.
- Google Workspace Suite apps, project management software (ClickUp, Trello, Monday, etc), WordPress, simple spreadsheets and docs, and more.
Platform & Channel Management
- Google Business Profile management: reviews, posts, photos, Q&A
- YouTube channel management: titles, descriptions, SEO, community posts, analytics
- Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok — scheduling, engagement, and organic growth
- Email marketing platform experience (Mailchimp, Mailerlite, or similar)
- Basic WordPress or website CMS comfort for blog publishing
Mission & Brand Alignment
- Genuine interest in sustainability, electrification, clean energy, or climate — this is non-negotiable
- Ability to translate technical HVAC and heat pump content into approachable, everyday language
- Comfortable being on camera occasionally, or supporting founders and the team on camera
Soft Skills
- Self-starter who thrives with minimal hand-holding
- Creative and willing to experiment — not afraid to try something unconventional
- Strong communicator, organized, and meets deadlines without chasing
- Curious about what’s working and what’s not — data-informed, not data-obsessed
- Comfortable with an accountability and results-based review system and structure
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and grow all social media channels — Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube — publishing consistently, engaging daily, and growing our audience organically
- Edit and publish weekly podcast episodes including cleanup, show notes, and distribution to Spotify and Apple Podcasts
- Clip and repurpose podcast episodes, job site footage, and blog content into short-form Reels, Shorts, and TikToks using AI tools
- Write and schedule a weekly email to our subscriber list covering rebate updates, seasonal tips, and company news
- Manage our Google Business Profile — weekly posts, photos, review responses, and keeping all information current and accurate
- Write or polish SEO-optimized blog posts and keep the JHP website updated via WordPress
- Track monthly performance across all channels — social, YouTube, email, and Google — and report on what’s driving inbound leads
- Pitch and execute a monthly content calendar aligned to seasons, rebate cycles, and install activity, and attend company strategy meetings.
- Strict adherence to ethical guidelines, quality standards, and helpful content guidelines and best practices. No shortcuts, black hat SEO, tricks, and the like.
Who This Is For
You’re someone who genuinely cares about clean energy and wants their work to mean something. You’re honest to the core, creative, self-directed, and good at making things — video, copy, graphics, whatever the moment needs. You love the idea of taking a raw conversation between two heat pump nerds and turning it into content people actually want to watch.
You’ll thrive here if:
- You get excited about sustainability, electrification, and the energy transition
- You’re comfortable figuring things out on your own and don’t need a lot of hand-holding
- You like variety — no two weeks look exactly the same
- You want to be part of a small team doing something that actually matters
- You believe the best marketing is genuinely useful, not pushy
You don’t need a marketing degree. You need creativity, curiosity, and the drive to make and manage great content consistently.
